Turning The Page is continuing a long-standing partnership with Garfield this school year. Garfield has over 300 students in grades Pre K through 6 and is located in Ward 8 of Washington, DC.

Garfield Elementary administration, faculty and staff have a vision of providing an educational environment to enhance and support the intellectual and social progress of each student. The Garfield family believes that all children can learn and that it is paramount to provide each student with the skills and tools necessary to become productive and competitive members of society.

With a new principal, a highly skilled staff and partnerships with organizations like Turning the Page and Heads Up, Garfield hopes to manifest the African proverb of “it takes a village to educate a child”.
