Gibbs Elementary School is commited to providing its students with enriching educational experiences that will foster a lifelong love of learning. Principal Davis and her staff are presently focusing on promoting and increasing family involvement. Gibbs, which has 300 students, is located in Northeast DC. Gibbs students are 99% African American and less than 1% Hispanic, with over 90% eligible for the free and reduced lunch program.

The 2007-2008 school year is Gibbs's fourth year with Turning the Page!
