Carpe Librum V closes after a successful sale!

Our fifth annual fundraising booksale, Carpe Librum, officially closed its doors on May 22nd after five successful weeks at 900 7th Street NW, and three days of sales at George Washington University and Georgetown University. After collecting over 60,000 books (generously donated by over 200 local businesses and organizations), the three sales combined grossed $45,000 for TTP's programs. Thank you to all who participated as book drive hosts and visited our sales! Carpe Librum will be back again next spring!

IMLS Highlights TTP & The Phillips Collection for July/August 2004

The Institute of Museum and Library Services has profiled TTP's partnership with The Phillips Collection on its web site. TTP and The Phillips Collection worked together in 2003-2004 to provide families and teachers with educational arts-based resources through a grant from IMLS. Read the full story.

Carpe Librum 2004: Used Book Sale Fundraiser a Huge Success!

Turning the Page's third annual used book sale fundraiser netted a record $35,000 for our programs in D.C. public schools. We also donated more than 12,000 unsold books to our partner schools and to area nonprofits.

Carpe Librum took place from April 19 through May 1 at several locations around D.C. This tremendous success was made possible by more than 150 organizations, businesses, law firms, apartment complexes and individuals who donated more than 35,000 books as well as all of our customers and supporters from around the city!
